Diesel Question for truck campers

Our V10 E450's gas tank is 55 gallons, which is the common tank size that Ford delivers on their E350 (one ton) and E450 (ton-and-a-half) cutaway van chassis used as a starting point by a lot of small motorhome manufacturers.
We drive conservatively on trips, so our non-towing gas mileage can reach 10 MPG or slightly more ... but I do have to use a light foot on the gas.
By the way, the main competing chassis for small motorhomes are the V8 Chevy 3500 (one ton) and 4500 (ton-and-a-half) cutaway van chassis. These are delivered by GM with an even larger gas tank - 57 gallons.
I don't believe that Ford F350/F450 pickups with the V10 engine come with a 55 gallon tank ... but I could be wrong.
