If you are towing 20k miles per year at the 10klb limit...I would be concerned about longevity.
If you are mostly just driving around with 2-3k miles per year towing at 6k lb. I would be far less worried. The vast majority of the time, the engine is operating at or close to naturally aspirated mode.
The one big advantage of the ecoboost is if you get up in the mountains, the turbo means you don't lose HP with altitude (similar to most diesels). At 8,000ft, a NA V8 might be down by around 20-25% in HP due to thin air.
