Chevor - that's amazing! 660,000 miles and counting. Holy Cow!
I looked at a white 1999 F-250 crew cab that from the street looked like a brand new truck. Even up close it looks amazingly clean. It has 370,000 miles on it and the dealer wants a little over $9,000 for it. When I started looking I was amazed at how many diesel trucks are for sale with a metric ton of mikes on them and they still look and run great. I have a 3500 series Dodge van with 230,000 on it and it truly runs like it has 23,000 miles on it. So, I know that a heavy duty vehicle that has been maintained will go a very long way. I would drive the old Dodge across the country tonight.
I looked at a 2011 Chevrolet that has 311,000 miles and is also very clean with no meaningful wear showing that one wouldn't already expect from a 4 year old vehicle. At first I wouldn't have even considered a truck with that many miles but, the more I look at them the more I'm starting to consider getting one as a TV. I don't need it as a daily driver and we have decided to keep my wife's car so, we are in the market for a capable TV that would only be driven on the weekends and road trips.
