I don't need a diesel, truck, or TC, but I sure like them. I bought a diesel F450 with 19.5s and better brakes to future proof myself if I decided to buy a fiver at some point in the future.
Sure, the gas engines can make it up the mtns if you don't mind hearing the screaming of the engine and pushing the transmissions harder. I enjoy barely shifting once I reach top speed myself.
Of course, it's not just about going, but it's also about stopping. That's why I have a F450.
