Reddog1, I've ridden in similar trucks with and without DPF. It's very noticeable from a noise perspective since the turbo isn't engaged as much to do the same workload. The lowest HP setting on most tuners is described as around 50-60 HP with the max almost double or 250 HP or so depending on the engine. Most tuning also adds some power, so it's hard to say if some is just due to the tuning.
People are deleting newer trucks as well since just doing the Active regen lowers fuel mileage and a clogged DPF basically disables the vehicle for anything but flat land at low speed. Not a US phenomenon either and cars are done as well. The interesting thing is that there are several people who have said US trucks for the military and some govt agencies don't all have DPFs.
