Regen injects a ton of fuel to bring up the egt's to 1200+ degrees to burn off the soot in the filter. Now, I might not delete a '13+ Cummins as they have the power and pretty good mileage that took me deleting and using custom tunes to get.
They have it pretty figured out now....but it adds more complications for sure.
For the poster who corrected me on CA counties, thank you and good to know. Oregon has a few emissions counties as well so I guess my blanket statement is not fair.
