Does anyone know the differences between the Viking and Clipper Coachmen brands?
Marketing. Producing the same line of trailers under different product names allows the manufacturer to sign licensing agreements with competing dealers in the same area and not infringe on the terms of those agreements. From the consumers point of view it makes no difference - pick the dealer you prefer and in this case the Viking or Clipper you prefer. - BillB800siExplorerFor what its worth the Forest River Rockwood Windjammer and the Flagstaff V_Lite are made the same way. Just cosmetic changes but made by the same company.
Forest River is the largest RV manufacturer in the world. And many of their lines are duplicates.
Many people use that to their advantage when they are shopping for new trailers. They can price out a unit at either a Rockwood or Flafstaff dealer.
Happy trails, - xzyHollyxyzExplorerIf anyone ever has the same question, I received this reply from Forest River today:
Hi Michelle,
The only differences between our Viking and Clipper brands are the exterior graphics and the interior décor colors. Everything else is identical and they are built on the same production line using the same components.
