I could get my trailer added to my truck policy with about the same coverage for less cost.
Unfortunately, the auto adder would not cover the purchase price only the current depreciated value.
I opted for the more expensive purchase price coverage because we intend to do a lot of travel in the next few years and on the road is where I think the higher accident risk is.
If I were parked at a CG or made only short trips I would probably have gone with the less expensive auto adder.
It is a gamble for you and the insurance company, hopefully the insurance company wins and I get a pat on the back for being a safe driver.
