Dinette Table On Passport TT Does Not Fit

The dinette table in our Keystone Passport travel trailer does not fit the space in the dinette seat so it can't be used when converting the space to a bed. The space is square while the table is not, it is shaped trapezoidal. We looked at other Passport camper on the dealer lot and none of those tables fit either. Have contacted Keystone Customer Service but they shift the problem back on the dealership and of course the dealership cannot build a table that fits. The dealership has been understanding about the problem but find themselves in an impossible situation. Keystone is not standing up to the plate in correcting this problem. Has anyone else had this problem?
  • Can you take a pic? I have a passport and had no problems converting the dinette to a bed..
  • I had a table with two tops in my last TC. The larger fit to make a bed but with just the two of us we used the smaller top.

Look for a place that installs kitchen sinks. They do cut outs to fit all the time. If yours can be trimmed to fit they can do it quickly. If you need a entire new top they may have counter top odds and ends you can chose from. They can even cover the edges and trim them.
  • I had the same problem on a previous HTT that I bought used. Since the table did not fit to make the dinette into a bed I went out and purchased some 3/4" plywood and cut it to fit. I cut the plywood into 2 pieces so it was easy to handle and store. I would be pretty upset if I bought a new TT and the table did not fit into the slot to make the bed. Push Keystone and the dealer a little harder. Good luck.
  • lushy beat me to it. If all you need is a piece to fit when making a bed, plywood is the answer. Good idea cutting in two pieces.

A bit confused as to why Keystone thinks the dealer should handle their engineering screw up. Suggest you have another go at it or at the very least get one or the other to cover the cost of the plywood. I'd not let them off the hook that easily. Good luck.
