- nomadictxnExplorerLeft to my own devices, I would buy new clothes every few days like Jack Reacher. But, my wife and I keep them in a sack in the over dinette bunk/storage and they always seem to end up in the back floor of truck. I am pretty sure that Jack Reacher wouldnt have to calculate in 1000 pounds of gear weight when he went camping.
- tmartin000Explorer IISince sweaty cloths smell, or smell like a wretched camp fire, mine go in a plastic bag. Mesh bags are what go into the washing machine for girls underwear.....so, I can't say a mesh bag for storage makes much sense.
- JimBollmanExplorerWe use plastic grocery bags, put a day or two in each one and tie it shut and put it in the wheelwell.
- GoinThisAwayExplorerA plastic tub on the back seat of the truck. I can pack them in and snap the lid shut so holds quite a lot. Dry any wet clothes before tossing them in and smell isn't a problem.
- MORSNOWNavigator IIIn USAF basic training we used fabric laundry bags, thirty two years later...yep still use fabric laundry bags when traveling.
- In a laundry bag, in the bottom of the passenger side closet at the foot of the bed in my AF811

samo-samo... fabric bag... works..
Keep the Bounce static cling box in there too, along with the tide soap pods... keeps the locker room fresh.. in truck.. - BedlamModeratorI doubt I still have my Air Force bag. As soon as I moved off base, I bought a wicker basket (which I still use today at home).
Since this topic started, I cannot get Don Henley out of head:

I got my first in Jan 1984, then acquired a few more during deployments to South West Asia. Those fabric bags are great for dirty clothes, just enough ventilation to keep stuff from molding like in plastic, but not enough that you can smell it.
