Sorry to hear about your trip but I'm glad nobody was hurt, other than the bungee incident. Both accidents could have been much worse.
A few years ago I was driving through South Dakota on the way home from a trip to Yellowstone. I got diesel at the Wall Drug exit just as a thunderstorm was arriving so I decided to wait out the storm there. Once the storm blew through (blew being the operative word) I got back on the road and less than 2 miles down the road there was a truck in the opposite lane that must have looked like yours. A pop-up in the bed with no top. The top was nowhere to be seen. Since it was in the opposite lane on a 4 lane highway and the police were already there I didn't stop. But I never did see any sign of that top.
