Well AnEv942, you were right! The access to the other end of the hose was accessible below the kitchen sink. I have included the photos to show how I was able to locate it.

I pulled out the two drawers below the kitchen sink and there it was.






Thanks for your help and hopefully this can help someone else with the same problem in the future.
