A search didn't turn up much so I'll post a new thread. I have a 08 AF 811. Love it. Has suited our family perfectly. But...I'm going to need to install a bunk over the dinette this year to accommodate one of my 3 kids. I know AF has the factory unit that can be installed after-the-fact. But I'm curious to know if anyone here has built their own bunk?

Here is the way mine looks in the folded position.Base that it rests on when folded down.Attachment point at the top.Folded down without the insert in yet.This is the insert that goes in to fill in the gap next to the window.Insert in place and ready to sleep on.

My bunk has a vinyl and netting barrier attached with twist studs on the top and bottom of the area.

my 4 year old sleeps on it just fine, if he does roll off it'll only be about 20 inches on to another soft bed.

My 1150 is the same as Xpd77's. I need to figure out something for a kid restraint.
