That's nice, but about 10x the budget. :) That general shape is definitely what I am going for though.
If your budget is $3,000, stop now and buy a used truck camper (or maybe a van).
If you build something for $3,000, you are going to end up burning it in some field in about 2 years.

Nah, the real budget here is about $6,000. I was just irritated that somebody suggested a $30,000+ solution.
