If you are going to do any hard-core off-roading with the proposed rig, where you get your axles twisted up, do skip over to Expedition Portal and search Steve Hackney for his long term skirmish with frame twisting and how he used a 3 point or 4 point pivoting sub frame on the back of his Isuzu C&C build. His thread about using a flat bed and a truck camper has had over 300,000 hits. I don't think we have one torsion sub-frame truck camper on this forum. I've written extensively on here about my attempt at living with the twist. If you do poor roads, you will, over time pull your camper apart, little by little.

We did attach our flatbed camper to the truck flatbed using torklift springloads. Consider that the camper base is a welded steel 2" thick frame with aluminum skin on the bottom and 3/4" marine plywood screwed/glued to the top. As the truck flatbed twists, the camper is allowed to separate a little from the flatbed due to the spring mounting. It isn't much, but I am thinking it does help reduce stress on the camper itself. Considering that we pull a sailboat, we are limited on road conditions anyway.
The OP could consider a similar mount, which is way easier than some of the 3-point systems you see on expedition portal.
