Your idea *sounds* like the same idea, but *looks* too thin to make a difference like the other ones do. Do these make a difference? Also, could a hockey puck work? They're strong enough to use for Jeep body lifts.
Thinking about ripping down hockey pucks as well.
The difference is this application is for trucks that dont have a separate overload leaf on top of the leaf pack. Most newer 2500's have an overload at the bottom of the leaf pack that is flatter than the arch of the unloaded leaf pack. If you take up the "gap" between the 2 just like the upper overloads you can engage the overloads and while still maintaining close to stock ride height.
