We also have the integrated strip. Next time you use it roll the awning in a little bit at a time. The lights will shine up and reflect off the awning. Roll in a little more to where the awning material just starts to cover the LED strip. This dims them. Adjust the awning position to where you have the desired lighting.
Works for me anyway.
