I have power jacks and almost always lower them for stability. I level my truck with 2x6's under the tires and then lower the jacks to stabilize the camper from rocking in the wind and when climbing up/down from the cab-over at night. Minor leveling can also be accomplished with the jacks, no need to disconnect the tie downs as long as your not lifting the camper beyond your trucks suspension sag and off the truck box floor.
