In days gone by, passengers would pass beer to the driver. That is no longer needed. Today we have extended cab trucks, with seats that fold up. We place the beer cooler in the back seat, and reach between the front seat to get a beer. We used also need a passenger to hold our beer when we wanted to weave in and out of traffic. Now we have built in beer holders in the dash. With those two changes, we no longer need a passenger.
