Do you warm up camper before heading out for winter camping?

I hope to do my first cold weather camping soon. I know the mattress is about 30* in there so I was wondering about how one goes about prepping for cold weather camping? I currently have the water lin...

I've never done that since it'll just get cold on the way out. Coldest we've actually camped at was -35* night-time lows on a three day weekend at Eureka (AK) on the Glenn Hwy two winters ago. An electric heating pad in-between the propane tanks keeps it flowing good I've learned.
