Do you warm up camper before heading out for winter camping?

I hope to do my first cold weather camping soon. I know the mattress is about 30* in there so I was wondering about how one goes about prepping for cold weather camping? I currently have the water lin...

I've seen a few folk say that putting 1 1/2 inches of hard solid foam insulation under the mattress really helps and I am going to try it before the next trip.

We have camped in the teens F, and really enjoy it. It's just nice to know you can and all will be well.
