At work we have 3500 6.0's and F-350 6.2' Fords, I had a 12' 2500, Ram with a 5.7 ( I have no experience with the 6.4). Loaded equally, out of the three my Ram seemed to have better seat of the pants power followed by the 6.2 with the 6.0 just feeling sluggish with a very high rpm band comparatively, the 6.0 spends much of its time in that 3500 to 4000 rpm range, not a big deal the engine is certainly stout and reliable but just continually feels labored.
The other thing is, I was very interested in GM when I bought my Ram and was actually test driving them with the intention of buying one over the Ram, like I said I really do like them and the 6.0's excellent track record. The problem for me was how proud GM is of their products, they were priced considerably higher than an equally equipped Ram for what I considered to be a less refined truck and drivetrain. As for Ford, well it's a Ford, no thanks...:B. Just having a little fun there, even though I think the Ford HD's look like they were designed by a 5 year old with a crayon, they have a very stout powertrain and man, their F-150's are good looking.
