coming down a 25% grade dirt road the brakes started to smoke and fade.truck in low gear o/d locked out speed kept to 10 mph .we had to stop and let them cool at 1/2 way point ,dirt road 4 miles long...

I took this photo at the top of Sonora Pass looking east. Is it correct? And if so, how much of it is 26%? I don't know, but I've seen several folks who thought they could handle this road who ended up stopped dead and blocking traffic (including an 18-wheeler). Not sure how they ended up getting out of there.
