My 2014 Ram 3500 has a 31 gal fuel tank. My first trip I find I'm continually looking for gas stations as I have a range of 300 miles before I need to fill up quite frustrating. I would like to install a larger tank 50-60 gal would making it less stressful. Anybody make the change? Do you stay with dealer installed Ram tank or is there a better option. I don't want to put a portable one in the box. Any idea on the approx cost.

Titan makes a 55 gallon replacement tank. I "think" they are around $1,200???I just carry a 5 in my toolbox.

Look for a Titan Tank. I put a 51g in, in place of a stock 27g tank.Any 4Wheel place should have info on them.

I have a 40 gallon bed mounted tank. Love it, simple gravity flow.

I looked at the Titan replacement tank when I first bought my truck. I just couldn't bring myself to spend that kind of $$$ and only add 15 gallons to my tank.

That is why I went with the RDS auxiliary in-bed bank. I now have 95 gallons. I can go round trip just about anywhere I want without worrying about refilling. And it was less $ than the replacement tank.

Empty yes, towing no. He didn't mention towing, but if he is going 300 miles towing on a 31 gallon tank he is doing well. I average 10-11, same truck towing . Easy math 10 x 31 =310. I am usually looking to fuel up long before 300 miles.

I have a 55 gal. tank on my 3500 truck. It fits in the same place the original stock location after you take out your original 31 gal. tank. I have had 3 Transfer Flow auxiliary tanks installed ove the years. Quality of work is outstanding. They will mail an auxiliary tank and give you the name of a qualified installer in your area if you are unable to go to Chico Ca.

OP, what's the bed length/cab (I could not tell from your sig)? I don't believe Titan makes a larger tank for a SB/CC truck if that's what you have as I have been looking too and have found nothing. Replacement tanks from Titan are between $1,200-$1,300 list.

Been considering added this combo for additional fuel and storage when we get the new truck/trailer.. This adds 60 gallons and a place to keep dirty stuff like oil, wrenches etc

We added the 50 gallon transfer flow tank along with the track 3 system. It's great. It's all computer controlled you fill it and forget it.
This is our second transfer flow system and have loved it on each truck so far.

Easy to install if you do yourself as well.

With a diesel engine you could go more like 500-600 miles with that tank.

We have had both Titan and Transferflow replacement tanks. Both worked well for us. It is the very first thing we do to a new truck. The size of the original fuel tank is ridiculous. We had a Titan tank installed last time. We had it drop shipped to the RAM dealer and had it installed by them. it is not cheap but as full timers, it was worth it.
