May 13, 2014There are two stickers, one on the door itself and one on the B pillar. The door sticker is the Ram capacity, i.e. 6800 GVWR. From that you need to take off the curb weight which is 5300 lbs for mine. This would provide a payload of 1500 lbs.
The B pillar is the tire rating with whatever tires the truck is delivered with and it is my understanding the number is relative to load for each tire on the Ram application.
I know that the tires on my Ram are Goodyear Wrangler SR-A, 275/60/R20 and they are load rated at 2601 lbs each max or 10404 lbs for 4 assuming even share load. This would provide ample payload from a tires perspective.
One thing to remember is that with a WD hitch 'up to' 30% of the hitch weight can be distributed back to the trailer. It is my understanding that tyically it is 15-20% of the raw tongue weight.
