I just read the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration docket on this whole issue and I have to admit that I had this incorrect. Their ruling and what both the tire companies and vehicle manufacturers publish do not agree. This is really a bizarre situation.
Another thing that I learned is that vehicles manufactured and sold outside of the US & Canada do not have a B pillar decal; the rest of the world uses the manufacturers's data. Don't know if this is good or bad.
I'm just really confused that I have 4 tires with payloads of 2601 lbs each yet I can only load a total of 1218 lbs on my truck when the truck manufacturer says I can load 1485 lbs.
I apologize for misleading anyone it was not my intention. From an engineering perspective, I'm really ticked at myself as a racer and engine builder for assuming what seemed to be logical.
