Haha, good point. I suspect that 3/4 ton and 1 ton trucks are overloaded about as often as 1/2 tons are! ;)
I know that based on the actual weight of my 3/4 ton diesel and the available payload, there is no way I could have towed a 5'er and been w/in the 9200 lb GVWR, which only left for about 2200 lbs payload -- that is the approximate pin weight for a 9-10,000 lb fifth wheel. But you see it all the time at the campgrounds!
And yet people decry overloading 1/2 tons all the time ...
