Right, so that's the difference between what you call the factory specs and B-pillar spec. The B-pilar spec is the factory spec It is put on your truck and every vehicle at the plant by the factory - as equipped.
Anyway, most trucks handle very well towing an RV at or slightly over GVWR with a properly adjusted WDH. My prior TV had a similar problem. I traveled at 0-500 pounds over GVWR every RV trip. It towed great at speeds up to 75mph if I chose to. I knew exactly who my truck looked with no WD and with properly adjusted WDH. Any other truck/trailer combo I see traveling or pulling into a campground is quite clear when it is either overloaded or improper WDH adjustment. And rear suspension aids can mask both of those.
