A camper pulled into a site across from us in upstate NY towing a 5th wheel with a 2013 Ram 1500. We got to talking and I asked what his hitch weight was, he said 1640 lbs. My jaw about dropped. So I asked what the B pillar sticker said his capacity was and he did not know. Well we checked and it turned out to be 1234 lbs which put him 406 lbs over without passengers or any other load. The only thing he had done was add air bags which he adds 20 lbs of air to.
This guy has to be 750-850 lbs over the limit, he's even over the manufacturer's published capacity.
