As the others have said, it will still be good. I store mine in a zip lock bag to keep dust/dirt and stuff off of it.
I will also add, if you have concerns about it sticking, use the Eterna Prime. Either the spray can or the liquid brush on. That primer makes the stick like it is on steroids!! Eternabond is very sticky to start with, but when you use the primer too on a properly clean surface, the primer makes an amazing difference. Just make real sure you place it in the right spot as it is not moving once touched.
I myself now use the primer all the time. It adds super high confidence it will stay bonded, everywhere even over non uniform surfaces. You can use lacquer thinner to clean off any excess primer after the bond is done.
