I can fit thru my 9x7 door if the mirrors are retracted, but the antenna drags on the garage door as I come in. I have a moonroof and can leave that open but there will be just an inch or two of clearance as I enter the garage. I have plenty of room once in the garage because my garage doors have a 3 foot wide "post" between them.
So height can be just as tight as the width. My truck is not jacked up. Hope that helps.
Edited - The bother of parking in the garage is easily offset by having a truck that doesn't need washing as often and tires that stay fresher longer.
