Ditto on the fantastic fan.
Gets the TC cleared out fast.
Put a light up in the center of the fan to attract them.
Leave on at night while out in the woods and you'll usually have a few of the little buggers you didn't know you had by morning.
The Fantastic Fan is the single best addition we've made to the TC.

We use the Fantastic Vent to 'pressurize' the camper when there are a lot of bugs around. When we open the door, the push of the air seems to keep the bugs out.

In Alaska 7 years ago, we ended up with hundreds if not thousands of mosquitoes in the camper one night (no particular screwup, they just swarmed in every time we went out - it was the only issue with mosquitoes we had the whole trip).

I had no idea how to get rid of them all. In the morning, I had the bright idea to take the screen off the Fantastic fan in the cabover in our AF860, turn it on high exhaust, and hit the road - half an hour later, no mosquitoes in the camper, and all I had to do was clean the leading edges of the fan.

X2 on the fan and vacuum. We only turn the light on closest to the Fantastic Fan and run it on high while exhausting air out. The bugs that don't get caught in the suction of the fan get vacuumed up with our Dirt Devil before we go over the screen to get the ones trapped by the fan.

In Needles, CA last month, the no-see-em's were bad and got through the screens before we knew they were there. We had to close up the windows and run the vent fans constantly or close the vents and run AC to keep them out.

Sorry about the bugs. Mosquitos will find me from miles away so I'm really annoyed when I make this mistake.

Best way to get light-attracted bugs out is the same way they got IN- attract them to light. All lights off inside, one bright light outside...five minutes and you're clear.

Do NOT turn any lights on inside until you've shut the screens again, though.

Yep. This tactic works best if you can set a light where it is most visible out the door. Otherwise the bugs tend to just beat against the inside of the brightest window. Nice sunset photos though!
