One ton truck with a payload of only 2200 lbs? That's not very impressive. 3500 Ram has a payload cap. double that
Yeah I was thinking the same thing although going by the charts of the Navara's specs, that 2,200 lb payload is only on cab and chassis work trucks. Trucks with beds have a lot less payload due to the weight of the bed. For example, a Navara diesel dual Cab RX 4x4 cab and chassis has a payload of 995 kg(2,193 lbs) while the very same diesel dual cab RX 4x4 with a bed is only rated at 855 kg (1,884 lbs). The payload goes down even further in the higher trim packaged trucks that "normal people" would buy.
Same goes for trucks in the US where the cab and chassis models have more payload over ones with pickup beds since they don't have to take out the weight of the bed yet. For example a SRW Ram 3500 4x4 diesel cab and chassis has a payload of 5,180 lbs(2,349 kg) while the same truck with a bed has a payload of 4,480 lbs (2,032 kg). Adding a bed into the mix brings the payload down over there the same as it does over here.
