Door Curtains

A lot of TT door windows are a standard size. I am going to have my mother sew me a pair and I'll post the measurements and pics.

I just used sticky sided Velcro. I stuck 4 pieces of it on the curtain and the 4 other on the door.

I'm a bachelor so if this looks tacky I wouldn't know.

Might be these or similar to them. I was thinking of those type of curtains and rods but can't find ready made curtains.

Micro mini blinds like these from justblinds.com are 1/2" wide and will fit between the screen and door.

The thing about putting anything between the screen and door is the hassle factor of opening and closing whatever you put over the glass.

Another option is to buy a "lambrequin" (the fabric covered valance at top of a window) for your brand of TT from the dealer. Get one slightly wider than the door and modify to fit over the door. Then use any type of blinds which could be one to match what's on the windows now.

I like the 1/2" micro mini blinds idea, but since DW is a bean-counting accountant, we have the foil insulation stuff mentioned above in a precut/trimmed piece. :( But at least the early morning sun won't shine through the door window like a searchlight anymore.

The rods appear to be just regular simple household curtain rods - Walmart or other. The ones I'm thinking would do are on a very small bracket, maybe 1/2" or so from the wall. The rods themselves are likely less than 1/2" size. You should not have any trouble with clearance for your screen door, but before you drill holes in the door, strongly suggest you find something you can temporarily stick on the door to confirm. While I like the Velcro idea, I would not care for putting it off and on as a regular thing. The curtain shown would be easy to just slide back and have the light, then slide closed. If you're a sewing person, this is a 30 minute job, max. If you need to find a friend to make them they would only need basic sewing skills.

I went to Home Depot and bought that foil looking insulation that comes rolled up. We cut several pieces to fit windows temporarily and used Velcro tabs to hold the covers over the bedroom windows. Works purty good.

I used window film to cover mine. I added the cutouts.

that is how my three motorhomes were built. shade mounted on inside wall above door and just pulled down to cover window.

I did the window curtain like the pic, using a small cafe curtain rod.
Just make sure there is enough clearance between the door and the screen door.

I also used a cover which CW sells, with velcro tabs on another rv.

Edit: On another RV, I had enough room above the inside door frame to install a window shade. That worked good, too.
