Draining fresh water tank
Went to drain fresh tank after sanitizing it and its literally a small valve that takes over an hour to drain..Am i missing something here?? Its located under trailer below water fillup

- I've got a 55 gallon - and it's a long process too. :(
- How northwood does it, with a 2.5" pipe with knife valve. Can drain tank in less then a minute. Handy for sanitizing water system. I know the feeling of having to wait 30min for your tank to drain when sanitizing! Our last 2 campers had small drain hoses, i imagine this is to reduce cost.
- We have a 150 gallon tank, it takes a very long time to drain it.
- Second the motion; it takes that long if you have a 60 or 80 gallon tank.
- No, that's pretty normal. My last two rigs had the same thing. My current one has a gate valve and I can empty a full tank in about two minutes.
