Driving with refrigerator on

imho--the fridge is good for two things, keeping beer cold and ice-cream cold -lol--always in route on propane, now its all happy-camping

I have always driven mine with it on, no problems. You just need to be aware that some tunnels have signs warning to shut the propane down when traveling through them.

forth TT and we always turn the propane on while traveling for the fridge. All of ours were 2 way 120 or propane. We had 2 that were adjustable thermostats and others that were set from the factory. All work great. I never turn fridge off while refueling but have to shut it off at the inspection prior to tunnels under the ocean going to the Outer Banks. I just stop when we get out and turn the propane back on. I have dual 30# tanks and if I don't have the furnace running I could run the fridge a month on propane. Uses very little and once plugged in to shore power I'm off the gas except cooking and hot water.
I camp on average 7 weeks a year and only use up one 30# tank every two years. Our drive to the beaches usually run 8 to 13 hours depending on Atlantic, Florida or Alabama shores. If I didn't run propane for fridge we would have to use coolers and a lot of ice. Temps run 80-100 degrees. Use the propane..enjoy

Same here. When home, at a camp site that has electricity, or running the generators, the fridge automatically switches to 120 vac. When 120 vac is not present, the fridge automatically switches to propane.

First time this trip - we turned on the fridge, propane and put in the battery 2 days before we left. Day of trip i stocked fridge and only carried one small cooler for drinks for on the way - worked out great!

I'm going to confess something really wild--we turn our fridge "on" in April when the TT comes out of storage and we don't turn it "off" until November when it goes back into storage. How's that for crazy? We're on our 3rd TT and we've always done this :W. I don't think we even turned it off on the Apostle Island Ferry in Wisconsin now that I think about it. It's great having the spare fridge and freezer in the driveway all summer long in between trips!
