No problem, have a good/safe trip. You might want to stop in the first 15 minutes and check on the dog or use a remote camera if your dog has never rode in the camper. Some animals panic and chew/destroy things the first trip. - jefe_4x4ExplorerAndy,
On dusty roads i leave them shut. on hard surface, dustless roads we leave the side windows open to get some flow thru. We have had bad luck at keeping the fridge lit when on propane, so having the side windows open, at least a little bit keeps the fridge lit when traveling up to 50 mph. Above that speed is a crap-shoot. It must be some kind of pressure up the fridge chimney vent that helps keep it lit. We never leave the roof vents open when traveling: too hard on the plastic covers.

I recommend a remote weather station setup. Place the remote near the area the dog will ride. Place main control unit in truck cab with you. This allows you to watch tc Temps. Also play some music. I usually play classical music for dogs. Classical music is close to the human voice. When our dogs were around and the few times they rode in our Af811 they hung out in the converted dinette area on their puppy pillows. Most times it was 20min. Longest stretch riding in the tc was 2hrs. They usually rode in the cab.
Very good advise which is what you came here and ask for.
FYI-More good advise is to turn off your cap lock. Typing in all caps is very hard to read, is also considered yelling and rude. Will also result in negative responses 100% of the time, thus "popcorn time". - wcjeepExplorerI recommend a remote weather station setup. Place the remote near the area the dog will ride. - powderman426ExplorerIn case you haven't heard, it's bad form to type in all caps. Just saying.
- ADA6969ExplorerTHANK YOU FOR THE INPUT, I ALSO HEARD THAT CRANK WINDOWS ARE A PROBLEM, I JUST NEED SOME AIR FLOW FOR THE 100 LB GERMAN SHEPARD LEAVING FRIDAY FOR 2 WEEKS IN THE HI 80'S FOR OUT SIDE TEMP.
- jimh406Explorer IIII think it depends on the type of window. If you have the crank type, it's suppose to have a chance to loose a piece of glass. I use my vents to air out, but I have vent covers.
- valhalla360NavigatorThe only issue should be dust or rain getting in.
- Super_DaveExplorerPick the window or vent wisely! I've stored the camper with the window open and the amount of dust was considerable.
