We've gone through three seasons dropping (no, not like the unfortunate op) our 1140 without any problems. I use four of the stackable jacks and 12" 2x4s at the corners more for added stability than to share the load. We've had no issues. For winter storage I use the three stacks of 2x6s as mentioned by the OP and in the owner's manual. I've read the manual cover to cover and don't recall any prohibition of using the camper while on the jacks. I guess I'll read it again.
