Dually Leveling

I have been fabbing metal for 30 years and am working on an air ride for my sons 97 Dodge 3500, not to lower it but to improve the ride empty and loaded. Just had hip replaced but will post pics when I get mobile enough to work on it, 5 days out of surgery and using only a cane to walk so may not be to long.

It seems to me that Fords sit pretty level empty from the factory- which I personally think looks dumb. GMs and Dodges ride higher in the back when empty- which is how a truck should sit. I bought my previous Dodge used and the person before me had "adjusted" the way it sat. I never liked the look of it, but didn't want to spend the money to fix it. It also sat low when loaded which drove me crazy. They should sit level when loaded. But like I said, that's just my opinion. To each his own.

Same here. I'm not going to try to lower anything when empty or raise it when loaded. I'll let the truck carry the load the way they designed it to in Detroit. The empty rake doesn't bother me a bit.

I do think the wheel wells on many trucks are too small for the stock tires though.

Torsion bars are GM only. I added a 2" leveling kit to the fry of my F350. Spacers on the coils.

If it's a GM, you can tighten the torque bars in the front. Might do the same adjustment on others too.
