We had several topics on the subject and I am still in favor of tire equalizers or .... nothing.
Each additional fitting brings risk of leak. Even with modern TPM you will get warning, I like the idea of equal pressure in dually and single valve inflation for both. The visual gauge on them also helps a lot when you keep truck in storage for long time.
With inflating at gas station I had bad experience as well.
Not only the compressors are set well below what truck needs, but very often chucks are beaten up.
My tires require inflation once a year, so I do it at home with oil-less compressor and making sure I have dry air.
