By raising the power level to 445 GM is making a very clear statement that their new Duramax is to be more powerful than the Powerstroke. I'm quite sure GM has raced the trucks and releasing their power numbers after Ford they had the liberty to adjust the tuning to be what it needed to be to beat the Ford up the Eisenhower pass. I'll be very surprised if the Ford gets to the top first.

772k is correct. I've followed his posts on the Duramax forums.

RV transporting racks up the miles. I did it part time, but only clocked in about 60k in the two summers I did it.

Price tag is gonna hurt. I'm gonna stick with the two duramaxes I already have. 2010 2500 with 772,000 miles and 2013 DRW with 42,000 miles.

I am interested in the rumored 4500 and 5500 trucks do out some time in 2017.

I agree on the GMC looks. If the RAM were no longer available a GMC would be pulling my home.

Guess it's time to sell my 2009 LMM (which only has 47,345 miles on it) and get a GMC LP5.

Great to see them replace the HPFP if it turns out to be true. I wish they'd done it last year. Might not have ultimately changed my purchase, but it would have made the decision a lot tougher. I did like the Chevy, just not the CP4 or the dealer.
