Nothing to do about being right or taking a victory lap. High School was a long time ago.
From your statement you do not know what those tires have for speed rating.
Maybe you weren't even aware trailer tires had speed ratings..mostly 65 mph max.
Running those 65 tires at 75 mph causes damage....hence the reason for the 65 mph rating
So now you have some information that you can do with as you see fit.
And when those trailer tires fail....you'll have part of the clues WHY

I am a huge fan of LT tires whenever possible (and it usually is possible) to overcome the 65 MPH shortfall that many TTs come with stock. But I never make a blanket statement without knowing the facts for a particular TT in a thread.

I'm farther west than both of you. Some places on I5 if you are going 25-30 mph! trying to go 65 would kill a lot of folks, cause a mega wreck etc. In fact, I can not legally go more than 60 mph 50-60 miles north and south of me in I5. or 18 miles or so east on I90 from the middle of seattle!
I'll stick to no more than 60 wherever I drive with a trailer....maybe 65 if open as in eastern washington.....legally I can only go 60 if towing a trailer or over 10K gvwr/gcwr!

Seriously though, current GM, Ford, and RAM trucks have such stupid amounts of torque and HP that it really comes down to buyer preference rather than glaring advantages or disadvantages. Sure there was a time when Ram transmissions had their weak points, the Ford 6.0L saga is well documented, and GM injectors had issues. We are far beyond those days and overall I think reliability is pretty well even between all three.
All kidding aside we need to remember we're driving the most powerful pickup trucks ever produced, they are very reliable, and most importantly they are pulling our homes on wheels so we can leave work and home behind to relax and recharge.

With all due respect, I bet YOU don't have a clue about what speed or weight rating the OP's tires have. That would be important to know before making a snap judgement.
That being said, I would probably agree that 75 mph towing is a little faster than I would feel comfortable...

I've never seen what my 13 or my 16 would do but I have my speed limiter on my 05 set at 109 and it will pin your head to the head rest up to that 109 but it will also break the back tires loose at 55 to. That's with 3:73's :BCharlie D. wrote:
