EC vs Host is like Chevy vs Ford. May as well throw in AF and Lance into the equation like including Ram and Toyota in the truck discussion. All top quality units imo.
What I see with the big 5-6000lb campers though is they are only suited for an even more specific subset of RVers. The trucks needed to haul them are not well suited as daily drivers. Still have the cool factor and the power/longevity of a HD diesel truck vs the gasser equivalents in class c or b rigs. Biggest advantage is being able to tow a lot along with having reasonable accommodations of a big TC.
To get close to the same level of utility you need to step up to a diesel super C and then it's a much longer rig, less maneuverable and generally more $ than even a 5500 and an 11xx model camper.
Still think it's easier to market/sell a class 4/5 truck and a big TC. Either together or separate since it's still feasible to put one on an everyday dually pickup. (No different than dropping my 860 on a 2500) and the truck alone has greater marketability upon sale.
