EAZ lift

I have difficulty using an EAZ lift weight distribution hitch to connect my travel trailer and truck. To help in connecting the torsion bars, the truck/trailer connection should be raised about 3" using the jack on the trailer. The problem is I have to raise the hitch 6 or more inches.
What am I doing wrong?

  • If you have that much sag, you need to get a taller hitch so the ball is 3 inches higher. If you are sagging that much it sounds to me like you have your hitch weight too high and need to shift weight rearward in your TT. Go to the Truckstop and get axle and Gross Wt and see if your are overloaded. If you are OK, then raise the trailer on the jack 1st, hook up the EZ Lift and lower the jack . Need a picture too.
