No way am I going to drive my truck camper at 80 or even past 70. When I upgraded to Rickson 19.5 wheels and Firestones, the max speed rating for the Firestones was 70.
I fell bad for you.
When I did not make a habit of it, I used to drive in tailwind of semi-trailers.
Usually picked up those who kept 70-72 mph, but when they occasionally speed up to 80 - I "had" to follow.
My dually handled that just fine and the procedure gave me higher cruising speed with no fuel penalty.
That's what you get to when you have to cover 2000 miles in Texas with nothing worth stopping for ;)
