Hi—26 years of full-timing in all kinds of weather and using electric heat because the propane heater is noisy and inefficient has seen us use many different types of heaters. From experience I can tell you that the original Pelonis heater (square metal box) is our heater of choice because of its ability to maintain the desired temperature automatically. The fan has a modulating feature that starts high to bring the room to the desired temperature, then it slows down (so that you can hardly hear it) to maintain the temp. As the room cools, the fan speeds up again automatically bringing the temp up again. Can’t beat it. The heater is not inexpensive, but so worth the money!
