- LatnerNomadI'll let all the guinea pigs figure this EV thing out, until then I'll be buying and using ICE vehicles, no questions about what to expect with them...heck, I might not even live long enough to even have a chance at using an EV.

Yup, towing range IMO will be reduced to peanuts on either brand. Again, IMO, useless. Charging? Well that's a debate all in itself, but while on last outing last fall, CG owner told us he's expanding and installing HD power to those sites so folks can charge their EV vehicles. Guess ya can't with standard power (I'm not an electrical expert by any means). He went onto say that he say one camper w/ a lil genny running to charge up his EV. Makes a lot os sense doesn't it???
No idea on towing. Guess we’ll have to wait and see. Although I don’t think most 1/2 ton owners tow heavy trailers much.
Re he power. Most EV’s are charged with “standard power”. Usually a 14-50 Nema Stove plug commonly found on a campground pedestal or less. My guess is many campgrounds will upgrade by either doing what KOA is doing and putting a 40 amp EVSE on the pedestal or having a bunch of EVSE’s or maybe just extra Nema 14-50 plugs somewhere in a parking area. Should be a good revenue stream for those that do.
JMHO.
More power to the campsites would be nice but a few high power chargers in a common area might be easier to put in and would bail out those that need a charge in a hurry. Charging a pickup on a 50A 240V outlet could take 10 to 15 hours. - Grit_dogNavigator

Even without trying to tow something I doubt if you will get 400 miles in the real world. Running the air conditioner or heater will take a bite out of it.
Hard to say. Heat or air isn’t the big hit for us. Speed is. Just like a gas vehicle, epa numbers are easy to achieve if you stick around the epa speeds. Easy around here as most speed limits tend to be around 90 or 100 kmh. At freeway speeds it’s obviously less.
The old argument about how suitable EVs are for "around town" stuff needs to die. If one is spending as much or more than it costs for a luxury car or the most capable truck and still has to make excuses for why it's not ideal for "everything" then there's a problem. - Grit_dogNavigatorAnd at a bargain price of a base msrp of $105,000!
I'm sure this is the same age old question, but how IN DEBT are people on average, to be able to own the car that they want?
Even at my income level, which by normal standards would support purchasing something like this, it's hard to believe that the market is now going to support $100k + grocery getter commuter 1/2 ton pickup trucks.
Must be showing my age now, lol, or people are dumber than even I give them credit for.
Idk, man, we're in one of the highest income areas of the country and I don't see it. This is not good for the economy, if the _______ (insert whomever you blame for this) push the affordability of everything we need above the means of the average person. - LwiddisExplorer IIThe claimed 400 mile range got my attention. Also worth noting is the promise of an electric Equinox and Trailblazer.
