Not every RV Park charges for electric. If the park has metered service, ask the front desk how much $ per Kwh - or ask them what the typical metered billing costs residents.

How much do they charger per KWH?

The absolute maximum would be 86 KWH per day, but that is a highly unlikely number. 80% of that would still be pretty darn high.

October 15, 2015 I used 20 KWH which included running the fridge, space heating, cooking and water heating.

I've never ever had metered electricity. Have heard of it, but pretty rare. Usually for long term tenants I think.

I have RV Sites that I rent out in Yuma and charge 14 cents KW. Some renters use less than others and get by for say $35.00 and others might be $80.00 for the same month. I would say on average my renters pay about $50.00 month. This is for my 9 renters. Most of the RV Parks in Yuma charge 16 to 19 cents a KW and nearly all private owners charge extra for elect

:) Hi, I have never paid for electricity, but seen meters for long term residents. Those who pay monthly.

We have an RV site that we have been renting out and we pay the monthly electric bill.
In the winter it has been rented out every day. Some times to 30 amp rv'rs and other times 50. and the bill is usually right around $60 per month.

Unless you dry camp exclusively of course you've paid for electricity as it's buried within the cost of your campsite rental fee. Don't want to pay it? - then dry camp. :R Metered power in seasonal parks is common but in the many years we've transient camped here in Canada and many parts of the US we've not once paid a separate fee for electric service, it's always just been part of the cost of renting an electric site vs a less costly dry site.

jerboys, are you planning on weekend camping or long term staying at one campground?

Most campgrounds charge a set campsite rate for weekend camping and/or only a few days, that won't change if you use a lot of electric (usually air conditioner running).

Some campgrounds will charge extra if you have an air conditioner - we've only run into this once.

Most campgrounds that I've seen where you stay for the whole season (long-term, or "seasonal") will have electric meters at your site and you pay separately for electricity (or extra use is added to your regular bill).

It varies on how long you are planning on staying and the campground. Most campground websites will make their billing policy clear, or you can just call them and ask.

Here is an actual answer to the OP's question. During hot weather, I use about 1 kilowatt per hour or 24 kwh per day. At $0.155/kwh that equals about $3.72/day or a little over $100/month. This is in 90+ degree weather with the AC on all the time. The rest of the year is half that.
