I don’t know. I would give odds to both Rivian and Tesla having half tons in production in the next year.
I am with you...in fact I am willing to bet that Rivian has two vehicles on the road in a year as long as they can avoid any delays due to Covid driven issues. - pianotunaNomad III

Where are you going to get ALL the electric for 300,000 electric vehicles? That's a lot of Amp Hours. KEN
It takes 27 kwh to go 100 miles in a Bev. On a 30 amp service that is 7.5 hours of consumption. On a 50 amp RV service it is 2.25 hours.
How often do you drive 100 miles in a day in your car? ORbiker wrote:
From the grid. 300,000 Hummers is about 0.1% increase for the grid. And the coal plants will continue to shut down.

I believe Hummer is completely sold out for initial year of production.
Maybe we will see some of these on the road by 2022.
Ramping production should be easy for GM. Love to see how fast GM can go from 10,000 / yr to 300,000 per year
I’ll take a wild guess and say 2026 for 300,000.
Jmho.

The same place they get the power for the millions of EV’s already on the road. I suppose. Tesla already makes a half million per year. And will probably make 2 million a year by 2025. 300,000 a year from GM is nothing.- ORbikerExplorer

There is more waffling going on in this article than at a Waffle House. "Range up to 350 miles" "Prices starting at $80,000" "Edition 1 starting at $112,595" to point out a few. Add in the fuzzy production numbers and the non specific dates of availability of both the Edition 1 and the $80K version and it becomes obvious there is more smoke than fire at this time. Looks like a true electric truck for even the upper middle class is more than a few years away.
