Electric jack conversion?

Saw a used Lance on craigslist for $500 with electric jacks. I almost wanted to buy it for the parts..
Just went back to find it but it sold.

I have an old Lance with the hydraulic jacks and they are a pain also......Really have to be careful bringing it down.....although going down is easy.

Electric jacks would be so sweet but I can not cough up that kind of dough for such a luxury!! I all ready did the compressor fridge and 100 watt solar. Next thing is to find room for Trojan twin sixes!!!

No, they will have to wire the whole thing from scratch. They haven't given me a quote yet, just a ball park figure of $2000.

DJ, is your camper prewired for electric jacks? If so I doubt for remote-my understanding is differnet wiring required (I noted R/T wiring 'kit' another $450+). Dont know what (if plausible) might be needed to adapt non remote wiring.

I didn't pay much more than that for my whole camper!!!

Plus I could still get what I paid for my camper out of it now if I sold it, but I sincerely doubt I'd be able to get $1400 more with the electric jacks.

Electric jacks would be sweet, but I can't bring myself to pay that kind of money.

I hear you on never getting your money back. But it made my trips so much easier, My wife has MS, so it's a must that the camper has to be off the truck and near ground level for her access. I even have a couple of the drill adapters for my old jacks, but she couldn't help and I had to keep circling the "wagon".
